At The Switch Board, we believe in the transformative power of youth engagement. Our platform enables Social Switch Ambassadors to:

Hi, my name is Ekom. I am a dedicated Youth Ambassador. I am driven by a deep commitment to empowering young/vulnerable people, and creating safe, supportive environments for vulnerable communities, regardless of demographics and so-called differences.

My professional journey has taken me across multiple sectors - construction, digital marketing, AI, property management, the film industry, and law. These diverse experiences have shaped my mindset, strengthened my resilience, and given me a wide range of transferable skills that I now channel into youth advocacy and community impact.

My journey in the charity sector began at the age of 14, walking the streets of London with a donation bucket to support international development programmes. This early experience ignited my passion for social impact, leading me to pursue a degree in sociology, where I developed expertise in social research, qualitative interviews, and cross-analysis, particularly in exploring youth experiences and cultural differences worldwide.

Hi, I’m Leonita Metaj. I study History at King’s College London and grew up in North West London. My journey in representing youth voices began in 2022 when I started consulting for various organisations, advocating for the idea that decisions affecting young people should always involve their input. I firmly believe that our systems and processes would function more effectively if they were designed with direct input from the people they aim to serve.
